It began with two shared pursuits: a deep appreciation for the world’s finest foods and a lasting connection through football. In Hong Kong, Steven H. Vinik and Cristian Giancaterino found common ground in quality, provenance, and discipline, forming the foundation of Aristocrat Fine Foods.

Cristian, former Executive Chef of Cova Italian Restaurant, went on to lead his family’s fine foods business, supplying leading hotels and Michelin-starred restaurants. His work in sourcing and product development led to the creation of Victoria Island Smokehouse and Aristocrat Caviar, both shaped by a focus on control, consistency, and respect for the ingredient.

Steven’s connection to Norfolk, Virginia developed through family ties and a deep appreciation for the Chesapeake Bay and its seafood traditions. After a career in international finance, he returned with a perspective shaped by years of global dining and a clear objective: to introduce a more considered standard of fine foods to the American market.

Together, that shared perspective evolved into Aristocrat Fine Foods, a curated house built on long-term relationships with producers and a disciplined approach to selection.
